London North Centre Federal Riding is Now London Centre

01/16/2025

Did you know that, last year, the federal riding of London North Centre became the new riding of London Centre?

With a federal election likely only a couple of months away, I wanted to remind the people of London about boundary adjustment.

These changes take effect “beginning with the next general election that is called on or after April 23, 2024,” according to Elections Canada.

That means that Canada’s next national election will reflect this boundary change — so you need to be prepared.

What are the new boundaries of the federal riding?

What does that mean for you?

If you still live within the riding of London Centre, nothing should change. Just to be sure to register to vote prior to the election. This will make your voting process much smoother.

If you are no longer within the boundaries, you may have some questions about how you will be impacted in the next federal election. I recommend visiting the Elections Canada FAQ page, which has frequently asked questions about the redistribution of federal electoral districts.

Even though the riding has changed, don’t worry — you will still be able to exercise your right to vote.

Stay tuned for developments on when the next election will be called!
